flower power.

I bought the J.Crew Rumpled Meron Dress a few weeks ago to wear as the going-away dress for my wedding. After staring at it in the bag for a few days, I decided it needed a little something extra. So I followed the burned-flower technique, similar to this one on 100 layer cake, to make a flower belt for the dress I couldn't be more happy with the results! I used polyester lining for mine, with five-six layers per flower. I added a few beads in the center to finish it off, and then attached the three flowers to a gray satin ribbon and added some snaps! What a cinch!
