i'd like to extend a much overdue congratulations to the giants for their world series win! it's been a fun summer and fall of watching baseball with my family [the giants even took the courtesy of beating the dodgers on my wedding day, which has to mean something].
and now those giants have me tearing up in the public library. they're happy tears, for my dad, who's flying down to SF tomorrow for the parade.
..and i'm tearing up because, well, it's kind of a family thing:

So happy for you and your family, Katie. The Giants played with a lot of heart this season... and they played as a TEAM --- which is the best! It was an exciting season and post season. Bask in the victory.

GO GIANTS! Great post, can't believe I didn't see this until now! Baseball is my family's favorite...I always feel so at home when I'm watching it. It was so fun to watch a game with them this past weekend when I was home. And even better that they won the world series on my birthday!!! (:
