Hello sweet readers of The Bright Life. I simply adore Katie. We had the chance to meet back in February in Seattle for blogger meet up (: I'm so excited for this time in Katie and Landon's life...moving is exciting {and overwhelming sometimes, too!} but the idea of decorating a new space always thrills me. So, how do you decorate a rental space? Let's explore some ideas. {And Katie, I except to see pictures when you're through unpacking!}
ONE: Color
If you can't paint your walls, then try to add color in other ways! Vibrant wall art, a colorful throw blanket or patterned rug, or my favorite- bold curtains!

TWO: Personalized Gallery Walls
Such a fun way to make your house feel like a home. Photos!

THREE: Create designated spaces and fun storage solutions!
If your space is small, create separate spaces for different activities and functions. Area rugs and bookcases are a great way to do this! Also, hiding clutter in wicker baskets and cute boxes is a great way to maximize your space.
Building up with storage is also a must when space is limited! Even if you don't have space for this coat area below, vertical bookcases add personality and height:
Love how the dining space, although in the same room, is still distinctly a separate with the addition of the rug in the living space:
Painting or covering the backs of bookcases is a fun way to add pattern to your storage areas:

FOUR: Fresh Flowers...always!
For no other reason then just to make you smile (:

I hope these tips have helped renters, or homeowners with small spaces! I can't wait to see Katie's finished space (: Happy moving, girlfriend!
xoxo,
Michaela
