blooming.

my mother-in-law gave us some gorgeous flowers from her yard on our way back down to lebanon yesterday, so i scattered them throughout our apartment!

i love flowers in vases, but i also think they're adorable in everyday dishes, like pitchers, juice glasses or mugs...

wedding tidbits #2: bridal luncheon

my mom planned a bridal luncheon for friday afternoon with my bridesmaids, my mom and grandma, and landon's mom and grandmas. it was wonderful to spend time with the women who have had such a huge impact on my life!

my mom's friend kim had the great idea to spread the bouquet out on the table rather than using a vase. it looked so beautiful and elegant!
my dear mom and sister jen [and maid of honor] and i!
the table setting...my mom used the extra fabric from the wedding table runners and napkins to make a tablecloth for the luncheon...
sweet, sweet bridesmaids!
my sister christi and niece shayla [and flower girl!] and i...
my sister jen made the adorable ribbon and button napkin rings...
3 generations at the end of the table...
i gave my bridesmaids their gifts at the luncheon. i made a cluster necklace [following this tutorial] for each bridesmaid and gave them each a pair of earrings from my favorite jewelry shop in san diego, noon designs...

dear friends from point loma!
so grateful for these beautiful women!

[big thanks to angie for the great photos!]

detail daydreams.

as i continue to check things off the wedding to-do list, it helps to see little details around the house that remind me that weddings are, contrary to popular belief about joy, not stress!

this sweet flower is an old heritage rose, which the bridesmaids will be carrying in a soft peach color. i love their fullness!

i love looking out the window each morning and imagining the ceremony in that beautiful corner of the yard.

another sweet tidbit...shayla's shoes with fabric flowers. i have yet to meet a fabric flower i don't like.
